Coaching Parents: Having a thriving parent ministry

Parenting is tougher than most people thought!

Being a parent is one of the most important and difficult jobs in the world, and most of parents don’t feel equipped to do it well.

We fret over our kids' safety, bad influences, or even just trying to get our kids to "act right" without yelling all the time or flat out bribing them.

What if parenting could be rewarding? What if you could feel connected to your kids in a way that changed your life? What if parenting could be a deeply fulfilling process of discipleship for our kids (and us)?

Parenting can go way beyond getting kids to behave. It can be an opportunity to empower our kids to live as disciples of Jesus?

That’s what we tackler in our Coaching Parents workshop.

We discover what it looks like to parent kids who are connected to God, their friends, and called up to live as disciples of Jesus in their everyday lives.

What to expect:

  • How to help parents “abide” in Jesus as he "abides" in them as they love their kids.

  • How to help parents see what is keeping them from growing in their parenting.

  • How to identify a "teenage temper tantrum."

  • How to help parents empower their kids to make good choices.

  • How to help parents disciple their kids as followers of Jesus.

A Typical Schedule:

Teaching the concepts for the workshop (2 hours)

Have a meal together (1 hour)

Practice (1 hour)

Debrief (1 hour)

Typically this is Saturday workshop, starting in the morning and moving into early afternoon. This can be designed and adapted for your environment. Give us a call to discuss things.
